Israel Discovery Trip 2014 – Online Registration Open

It’s that time of year – MYC Israel Discovery and March of the Living Trip! Registration is now open for summer 2014! It starts with a five day life changing experience in Poland and goes into Two Weeks of sightseeing throughout Israel with stops in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Eilat, Dead Sea, and much more! Activities will include hiking, rafting, biking, camel riding, and excursions to various historical sites. The tour will be accompanied by professional tour guides, security, and our own chaperones from New York. This trip is open to incoming high school seniors ONLY! We have limited space, so registration is on a first come first serve basis (first 44 registered will be accepted).This year’s trip will take Place from June 16 to July 15 2014. Join us this Tuesday night, November 12th at YMJC 130 as your MYC board hosts a town hall meeting to hear the Voice of the Youth. This is our chance to unite and voice our opinions on multiple topics important to us like community events, minyan, relationships, social issues and more. An agenda will be released before the event. The meeting is exclusively for people within the ages of 18-36. 3rd Annual Israel College and Yeshiva Fair – Sun Nov 10
Come and discover the many opportunities in Israel for post-high-school students. Programs ranging from as short as a summer break to as long as a semester or a full year. There will be official representatives from various Schools, Colleges, Yeshivas, Seminaries, Volunteer Programs, Army Services and more. All institutions have been reviewed and approved to be compatible with our community. Additionaly, Mashadi alumni from each of the programs will be available to describe their experiences and answer questions. Also, come and learn about the many scholarships available for students studying in Israel! Open to all students from ages 16 through College. Parents are encouraged to attend and ask questions. Visit from Robotic Surgeon: Dr. David Samadi – Shabbat Nov 9

Dr. David Samadi is the Chairman of the Department of Urology and Chief of Robotic Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital and Professor of Urology at Hofstra North Shore LIJ School of Medicine. He is a board-certified urologist who treats prostate cancer patients. His medical expertise is in general medicine, robotics and minimally-invasive surgery, urology, cancer (specifically prostate cancer) and men’s health.
The recipient of the “America’s Top Doctors” award, Dr. Samadi was also named among New York Magazine’s Best Doctor List in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Dr. Samadi, who received his medical degree from Stony Brook University School of Medicine in Stony Brook, New York, completed his general surgery residency in the Montefiore Medical Center and completed his Urology Residency in the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
