2018 – 2020 MYC Election Results

MASHADI YOUTH COMMITTEE ELECTION RESULTS
Under the supervision of the Supervisory Council, a total of 402 valid votes were cast in the 2018-2020 Mashadi Youth Committee elections held on Sunday Nov. 18. 2018 which include 18 absentee ballots.  An additional 8 votes were declared invalid due to having voted above or below the allowed limits. MYC presents: OHEL PURIM CARNIVAL

monkimageThe MYC Chesed Committee is very excited to announce their first event of the year:                                                                      THE OHEL PURIM CARNIVAL!

Come enjoy a fun day with youth and adults with special needs. There will be free food, dancing, games and much more! Please join us on March 8th, from 12-4:30 pm, at 54 Steamboat Road. Organizations attending include members from HASC, Friendship Circle and Ohel. Make sure to wear a costume! Note: Adult supervision advised for children under 12.  A special thanks to our anonymous sponsor for the dedication in the memory of Ephraim ben Shmuel.

MTC Ice Skating at Bryant Park – Sat, Jan 11

MTC will be heading to New York city for a night of skating at Bryant Park. This year, the event will take place on Saturday Night, January 11th. Mashadi Tennis Finals

With the help of Mehdi Nassimi, Cyrus Elian, Behnam Pourattarian, Igal Nassim and David Karimzadeh we have finally reached the final weekend of matches. We would also like to thank Mehdi for hosting the finals.

The finals for the men’s singles and doubles tournaments will take place this Sunday September 22nd 2013 at 11AM at Mehdi and Ania Nassimi’s residence, 4 Pheasant Run. The matchup for singles is David Karimzadeh v Ariel Hakimi. Following the singles final,  the doubles matchup will take place between the winner of Alex Rahmani / Michael Hakimi and Simon Kashfi / Jared Hakimian vs the winner of David Karimzadeh / Sammy Hakimian and Benny Nabavian / Ray Hakimian. 

We’d like to thank all the participants in this year’s tournament.  I hope you had a good time, and hopefully we will have this tournament for many years to come.

Our dynamic duo of Rabbi Adam Sabzevari and Rabbi Mosheh Aziz will be opening Seuda Shelishi (3rd Meal of Shabbat) this week at 130! Come end Shabbat on a high note, and fulfill the mitzvah of eating a 3rd special meal of Shabbat from Shop Delight, with a warm atmosphere, amazing speakers, and wonderful singing. We will end the night with havdala. Open to all guys & girls. Mincha starts at 6:45 pm @ 130 Steamboat Road.

MYC Blood Drive

The Mashadi Youth Committee has organized a blood drive to be held at Shaare Shalom Synagogue (54 Steamboat Road), on Sunday, April 14th, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Blood cannot be manufactured – it can only come from generous donors  – which is why we encourage all eligible donors to come and participate.  The general requirement to be a blood donor are as follows: 1) Must be age 17 or up.  16 year-olds can donate with permission of parent or guardian who must sign you in.  2) Must weigh at least 110 pounds.  3) Must have valid identification such as a driver’s license, passport, or other valid picture id, and your social security number.  Drinks, snacks, and light food will be available for all donors.  For more information, please feel free to contact Shawn Aziz at 516-423-6231 / shlomoshawnaziz@gmail.com,  Maxine Karmily at 516-782-1551, or Charlotte Shahverdi at 516-424-2252 / charlottes989@gmail.com
